Pool sand filters for sparkling clear swimming pool water 

In order to keep the water clean and clear, it is necessary to fit a pool filter and a pump. The pool’s mechanical cleaning takes place via the pool filter, which filters out particles down to about 25 µm (thousandths of a millimetre). The central valve on the filter tank controls the water flow through the filter. The filter is 2/3 filled with filter sand, grain size 0.6-0.8 mm. As the dirt accumulates in the filter, the back pressure increases and is read off in the central valve’s pressure gauge. The sand filter is backwashed once pressure increases by about 0.2 bar after the previous backwashing.

The pool sand filters are made of fibreglass reinforced polyester or polythene, which makes them particularly reliable. Polythene and fibreglass reinforced polyester are resistant to mechanical wear and tear. The 6-way central valve is made of bronze or ABS plastic, with connections to the pump, pool and drainage. Backwashing the filter is easy - just turn the handle on the central valve. The flow through the sand is now reversed, taking the dirty water out through the valve’s drain outlet.

Pool sand filters 520, 640, 760 Made of fibreglass reinforced polyester with a central valve made of bronze or ABS plastic. The pressure gauge shows when the filter needs to be backwashed.   Through the sight glass it is possible to see that the water is clear. Pool sand filters 405, 505, 605 Suitable for smaller private pools, with water volumes between 15 and 80 m3. Made of polyethylene, with a 6-way central valve of ABS plastic.   The pressure gauge shows when the filter needs to be backwashed.
